SUNDAY=BEACH TIME IN MYKONOS

We all slept in a day!  Then we headed over to a beach on the other side of the country for lunch at Kiki's Taverna!

Bebe and her scooter!

Or maybe she'll get a red one?
Kiki's is located above the beach Agios Sostis beach. It's a small hidden spot but people somehow know about it, and it gets packed.

Food is grilled in the open on a charcoal barbecue, because there is no electricity, so you can’t phone ahead and book a table.  So, you get there early and get in line to wait for a table.

The restaurant also relies on the memory of it's owner, who sees that everybody is served in the order they arrive. Go EARLY for lunch! The menu offers a range of grilled local fish and traditional meat dishes, all moderately priced and served in generous portions to share. We had a ball and enjoyed some fabulous food!

Doug and Brock taking their turn waiting...

We are finally seated all together (8 of us):

And the food begins being brought out:
Chick peas
Artichoke hearts
Apple and beet salad, tuna pasta salad and marinated green beans not to mention TZATZIKI!

Warm get and portobello mushrooms

Those views do not get old!

After lunch we brought towels and enjoyed relaxing on the beach.  I ventured down the beach a stretch for a walk  though and...there were 2 men totally naked sunbathing.  While not technically a "nude beach", be forewarned that you might see more than you are wanting to in Mykonos!

Waiting for our driver to take us back to the villa so some of us can relax by the pool and the "kids" can go check out the beach clubs.
It was a lovely way to spend the day in another area of Mykonos!

SUNDAY: ROME! (then home)

It's been a fabulous trip!  Today we awoke early in beautiful Capri, and we were so sad to leave, but we began the trek toward home.  I...
