TUESDAY = HIKE, CRUISE and sadly, a finale...

Here's how I began my day:

Might possibly be the nicest way to wake up ever!

We've got a challenging hike ahead and a fabulous day planned for our group of 6 (before we go down to 2 - just me and my husband).

Breakfast with a view:

THE HIKE!
Andreas escorted us along the promenade from our hotel to a car that drove us down to Fira to begin the hike:
Just starting out...
One of the (few) signs to guide us along the way:

Cannot beat these Santorini views:
Stunning beauty as we walked from picturesque scenery to gorgeous hotels:

LOTS of up hills!

Thank you family for indulging my wish to get some serious exercise!

Just arriving back into Oia:
The cool private entrance to our hotel:
A (much needed) house white wine to accompany lunch post hike:
Yet another fabulous Greek Salad:
Hummous that we scarfed down in no time:
Chicken souvlaki - so good!
And a fabulous pork souvlaki:

THEN - gelato at Lolita's - - - SO SO GOOD!

Then at 3:10pm we were picked up and taken to the port to take a private 5 hour sunset cruise:
Our captain Cristos:

We were able to see the famous Red Beach and the White Beach, then sailed towards the Indian Rocks to see the great view of the Akrotiri village with it'sVenetian lighthouse. Then we headed to the volcanic islands Palaia and Nea Kameni where we visited the hot springs and some of us swam in the sulphurous waters.

We later stopped for dinner at a remote and tranquil bay where we enjoyed a magnificent Greek meal with beverages and Santorinian wine.  Also, we sailed close to the caldera to get lots of photos.  SEE BELOW!
